Prepare the inputs

Create a separate workspace in Tokeny, download and unpack the sample inputs, then select a model that supports tools. The sample uses synthetic data or the public sources named in the article.

The original task was executed in Chinese. Copying these instructions reproduces the same task; the results below include an English report.

交付文件:pricing.xlsx、pricing.md。

The recorded run used an isolated demonstration workspace. Review the commands and file paths before approving operations in your own workspace.

What actually ran

The task was submitted through the Tokeny input box. An online model read the inputs and executed tools. This run covers the local sample task and its actual files. Results and checks are recorded below.

Inputs

This run read pricing.csv from the current workspace. The file contains three price points, assumed paying customers, unit variable cost, and monthly fixed cost:

  • Low price: CNY 19, 600 customers, CNY 3 per customer per month, CNY 10,000 fixed cost per month
  • Mid price: CNY 29, 420 customers, CNY 3 per customer per month, CNY 10,000 fixed cost per month
  • High price: CNY 39, 300 customers, CNY 3 per customer per month, CNY 10,000 fixed cost per month

The customer counts of 600, 420, and 300 are model assumptions for demonstration. They are not demand forecasts, market forecasts, or sales commitments.

Processing Steps

  1. Read pricing.csv from the current workspace.
  2. Calculate monthly revenue as price × assumed paying customers.
  3. Calculate variable cost as unit variable cost × assumed paying customers.
  4. Calculate profit as monthly revenue − variable cost − fixed cost.
  5. Apply 80%, 100%, and 120% customer-count scenarios, rounding customers to whole numbers while holding other inputs constant.
  6. Write the inputs, baseline formulas, and sensitivity formulas to pricing.xlsx, and create pricing.md and this report.

Checks Performed

  • Independently recalculated the three baseline profits: CNY -400, CNY 920, and CNY 800.
  • Independently recalculated revenue, variable cost, and profit for all nine sensitivity scenarios.
  • Reopened the workbook and checked that baseline and sensitivity profit formulas exist and reference the intended worksheet.
  • Checked Excel headers, widths for long text, wrapped text, frozen panes, and negative-profit conditional formatting.
  • No temporary service was run. No external recipient was contacted, and nothing was published, paid for, or changed in system settings.

Limitations and Items to Validate

This run uses synthetic demonstration inputs supplied in the workspace; no external sources or real demand forecasts were used. The model excludes discounts, refunds, taxes, payment fees, customer-acquisition costs, capacity constraints, stepwise costs, one-time investments, and actual conversion probabilities. Customer counts and cost assumptions require validation by the business or finance team. Formula display values should be confirmed by opening the workbook in a spreadsheet application that recalculates formulas; the formula logic was independently verified numerically in this run.

Download and inspect the outputs
